About the eM Instructors!
Mr. Egan has been deeply involved in the Internet since the late 1980's. He was directly responsible for the engineering of the first laptop enabled wireless connectivity to the Internet for NEC Corporation (www.nec.com) in 1992 which made it's debut at DEC World in Boston that year. Since then, he has been involved in the conception, design and implementation some of the most productive web sites on the internet today. Mr. Egan has been involved in the tech world for over 30 years. He is currently Chief Technology Officer of Hathway Technology Group, LLC. After years as a Consulting Engineer to companies such as CGI Informatique, (now IBM Global Services) Novell, Microsoft and NEC Tecnologies, he transitioned into business development. He founded an internet based company that translated the legacy mainframe environments of the airline systems to a completely automated internet based SaaS model. This system allowed thousands of hotels from around the world to access and maintain their availabilities in the web based and mainframe based global travel systems. Implementing knowledge of internet based marketing techniques he achieved sales growth in excess of 900% per year, adding more than 25,000 rooms annually. More recently, as a steering committee member, Mr. Egan mentored the direction of the internets fastest growing remote support system. SupportSpace (www.supportspace.com) today supports many thousands of customers through the SaaS business model. "The future of the internet is the turning over of the reins of the web site to the owner of the web site" said Mr. Egan, "Allowing the person with the most interest in it's success the ability to achieve it." Now devoted to eMPowering the individual on the internet, Mr. Egan has mentored many to take control of their internet presence, and thus their future. Tom@wcww.com
